With New Year’s Eve fast approaching I thought it was the perfect time to get the children involved by making chocolate sparklers. The perfect edible treat for Bonfire Night, New Year’s Eve or even as a fairy wand for a children’s party. So incredibly easy but oh so delicious and children love them.
Supplies Needed
- Breadsticks
- Chocolate
- Sprinkles*
- Chocolate stars*
How to make edible sparklers
- Firstly start by melting your chocolate, I do this by breaking the chocolate into small pieces and placing in a heat proof bowl. Boil a pan of water then turn off the pan place your heatproof bowl on top of the pan, but ensure the bowl doesn’t touch the water. Then the chocolate will begin to melt, keep stirring until fully melted.
- Take a baking sheet and line with greaseproof paper. Then spoon over the melted chocolate over your breadsticks. I did this over the bowl of chocolate as it tends to drip and can be quite messy. Then place on the greaseproof paper.
- Top with a chocolate star and then sprinkle with your chosen sprinkles.
- Pop in he fridge to set.
